Backyard Gold | Tea Blend

from $5.99

Backyard Gold is the proprietary tea blend for the farm of the same name.

ABOUT “BACKYARD GOLD” THE FARM:
A few miles east of a sleepy little town, nestled at the base of Blue Mountains and Canyonlands, thrives my family’s farm. Backyard Gold refers to the sweet nectar of the honey bees that is the sticky backbone of our farm. You can find jars of this divine nectar at local farmer’s markets.

ABOUT “BACKYARD GOLD” THE TEA BLEND:
Backyard Gold, the green tea blend, is a Sencha green tea base with a blend of locally cultivated herbs, flowers, and spices that are formulated to target one’s *blood sugar (see necessary disclaimer). My father and myself, borderline diabetics, were the initial guinea pigs for this formula. Steadily, the local community of conscious individuals who are managing their blood sugar levels as naturally as possible have also taken part in guaging the efficacy of this tea blend.

STEEPING:

Backyard Gold makes a wonderful and bold hot or cold brewed tea.

  • 3-5 grams (1 Tablespoon) of tea leaves

  • 14-16 fl oz water ~185F

  • Steep 1: 3 min

  • Steep 2: water 195F for 4 min

  • Steep 3: water 203F for 5 min

This blend exudes a heady aroma of herbs and spices that follows with lightly sweet aftertaste from the stevia. Bright golden tea liquid decreases with intensity and caffeine with each steep.

Have you sipped this year’s harvest? Please, leave us a review and share your experience!
