Hygge Me Chai | Tea Blend

from $4.99

The word ‘chai’ simply means ‘tea’ in India. What the rest of the world refers to as ‘chai tea’ is actually a catch-all term for a spiced tea blend that is typically consumed sweetened and with milk. Unlike other teas, we do not steep chai. It is recommended you simmer the infusion of tea and milk at a medium-to-high heat for at least 8 minutes. Simmering helps combine the tannic strength of a black tea with the fats of the milk in order to produce a creamy liquor with a dense texture.

There is no one definite recipe for a perfect chai blend, but we think we hit the nail on the head here with our spice blend of cardamom, cinnamon, clove, ginger, tricolor pepper corns, and a hint of licorice for a natural sweet finish.

This Hygge Me Chai blend is available with a black tea base or with an herbal red rooibos base for a spicy brew that won’t keep you up at night.
